Read the following descriptions and paint. Ask to the teacher those
words that you don´t understand.
The mother: Her name is Marge. She is tall, slim and has long blue hair, she has big white eyes. She is
wearing a purple dress and red shoes.
The father: His name is Homer. He is fat, and bald. He is wearing a blue trousers, green shirt and black
shoes.
The sister: Her name is Lisa. She is small and slim. She is wearing a red dress and pink shoes.
The
brother: His name is Bart. He is small and he is wearing green trousers and white shirt. His
shoes are blue.
The baby: Her name is Maggie. She is very small and she can´t walk because is a baby. She is wearing a long
blue dress.
All of they
are yellow! They are The Simpsons

ResponderEliminarI like your activity. I think that it is a good way to practise descriptions. It will be a motivating exercise for children because they know many thing about this family (they see it on TV every day!) and it is close to them. You have created good examples in order to create their own descriptions. Good job!

Yes, of course they have to print the picture, They can download the activity, or copy and paste this picture in a Word document.

ResponderEliminarThis activity is adapted in order that our pupils learn to describe the persons and objects.
In this case the prominent figures it was helping them that they are motivated because they appear in the television.

Good point clear to students that do not have to know all the words and encourage the avoidance of doubt and learn new vocabulary.

I like all the activities you've created, and especially the family, I found it very good idea that you use for reading a family that children are called much attention, the Simpsons. I believe that using this type of activities with children known characters attracts more attention to them and they learn more.
